We're growing fast and we have some very exciting plans. We're looking for a Head of Cyber Security to help us make them happen.

As Head of Cyber Security you’ll be reporting to the CTO, this is a key leadership role in guiding the core engineering squads to deliver the solutions that will fuel the business growth. 

You will oversee the secure software development lifecycle and policies for all software solutions; working with Security Engineers you will drive the engineering security strategy and have oversight of assessment and gap analysis creation of all operational processes.

This is a high visibility role in which you'll work with business stakeholders and 3rd party- security consultants to ensure that product security compliance requirements are met. You'll be part of the senior leadership team contributing to and defining strategy.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Protect the business from security breaches
  • Be responsible for the management of, and a key individual in, our incident response framework 
  • Work closely with the CTO to develop a security strategy to meet our future technology needs
  • Identify weaknesses in systems security and close down threats to our business.
  • Perform independent assessments of system architecture and advise on security optimisations
  • Prioritise and manage the delivery of the security roadmap which will continually improve our environment and our cyber assessments
  • Manage a team of security professionals and ensure they are working in a coordinated way with other teams across the business and delivering.
  • Own internal & external audit assessments of our processes, environments, architecture and SDLC
  • Coordinate closely with other senior members of the business to remove blockers, provide advice and identify optimisations to our environment.
  • Present on a regular basis to the executive team on the progress of our security roadmap and articulate appropriate risks and priorities
  • Own internal and external risk reporting on cyber security activities

What we’re looking for:

  • You're likely to: 
    • come from a software engineering background and have moved towards security in recent years, ideally CISSP certified
    • have a background working in regulated environments and familiarity with meeting assessment framework requirements, like PCI or ISO 27001 
  • You have a good knowledge of Cloud based architecture; AWS Security
  • You have a good understanding: 
    •  software architecture and infrastructure design best practice 
    • creating systems that are secure, high performance, scalable, easily maintainable, extensible and easy to test and debug
  • You have a strong working knowledge of GDPR and other data regulations
  • High level of personal maturity (self awareness?), pragmatism, flexibility, and resilience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish and maintain good relationships with people.
  • Strong verbal and visual presentation skills.
